Director Seth Gordon must have enjoyed working with Jason Bateman on Horrible Bosses, as Deadline reports that he's just signed on to team up with the actor again for Universal Pictures' comedy, ID Theft. News on the project first emerged last August, when Bateman and Melissa McCarthy signed on to star.
The film is about an ordinary man who gets his identity stolen by a woman. The identity thief was originally supposed to be a man, but Bateman pushed Universal to cast Melissa McCarthy after her breakthrough performance in Bridesmaids, and so the script has been rewritten for her.
Last August, the plan was to start production in April, after Melissa McCarthy wraps on the latest season of her CBS sitcom Mike & Molly. It isn't certain is that's changed or not.
