1st Official Pirates Of The Caribbean 4 Pics Emerge

Plus UK teaser poster for Cowboys & Aliens

With the first trailer due next Monday, and marketing kicking off big style for next May's fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie, On Stranger Tides, USA Today has debuted the first official images from the movie, showing Jack Sparrow waist deep in water with Blackbeard's daughter, Anjelica (Penelope Cruz), as well as once more being dragged around in the custody of the overdressed Brits. You can see the pics above and below.

In the accompanying articles, Johnny Depp gives his take on the fourth film, saying, "Captain Jack is about as fully realized a human as he can be. He's there. He's going to stay there. Which is fine... What's most interesting about Pirates 4 is you don't have to connect the dots for these subplots and sub-characters," Depp says. "It felt like a fresh, clean slate."

The movie will see Jack Sparrow on a journey to find the fabled Fountain Of Youth. Shot entirely in 3D, it'll be in cinemas May 20th, 2011.

A new poster has also popped up for another of next summer's most anticipated movies, with Empire debuting a dark and moody UK teaser poster for Cowboys & Aliens. You can see that at the bottom of this post.

UPDATE: Four more new Pirates 4 pics have shown up today, so click here to see them.

In Cowboys & Aliens, a stranger (Daniel Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don't welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford). But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by alien marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known. Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. It'll be in UK cinemas August 12th, 2011.
