Screen Gems is reuniting Emma Stone and Will Gluck, the star and director of their recent hit Easy A, for a new untitled comedy, according to Deadline. Not much is known about the untitled project, although Will Gluck will write, direct and produce the movie, while Emma Stone will star and executive produce.
It seems it's very early days, as they're still working out the beats of the story, but the hope is to get it ready for production next summer, by which time Stone will already have completed work on the upcoming Spider-man reboot, where she's due to play love-interest Gwen Stacy.
Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper had this to say, in true Hollywood hyperbole style: "Will and Emma blossomed in Easy A, which was easily the most well-liked and best critiqued movie Screen Gems has made. To have them want to team again at Screen Gems makes me the happiest and luckiest guy in the business. I think he was afraid I might pour a glass of iced tea over his head had he tried to go anywhere else."
