Swedish former model Malin Akerman has forged a decent career for herself in film, starring in the likes of 27 Dresses, Watchmen, The Proposal and Couple Retreat. Now she's got a new role, with Variety saying she'll appear opposite Ethan Hawke in The Numbers Station.
Hawke, who's also producing the movie, will play a disgraced black-ops agent, exiled to a dead-end posting in the Nevada desert. However when a surprise attack happens (although tha assailants are currently unknown), it's his job to protect a beautiful woman, played by Akerman. So it's damsel-in-distress time for the woman who so successfully kicked in Watchmen - what a come down!
The $10 million thriller will be directed by Kaspar Barfoed (The Candidate) and shoule start shooting early next year.
