It'll be interesting to see whether Bunraku succeeds. It's an east-meet-west fusion, with a Sin City-esque look, good cast and slightly vidoegame quality. In a world without guns, a mysterious drifter (Josh Hartnett) walks into a strange town terrorised by the ruthless Nicola (Ron Perlman) and his army of thugs, headed by nine deadly assassins including the vicious Killer #2 (Kevin McKidd). The drifter is forced to trust a young samurai (Japanese superstar Gackt) who is looking to restore his family's honour, and the local bartender (Woody Harrelson) who has been secretly awaiting a dream team to help overthrow Nicola’s tyrannical regime. It's all a bit strange, but the trailer is well worth a look. It'll be interesting to see if it find box office success when it's released later this year.
