One of the more unusual, but potentially most pleasing, comic book adaptations of the year is Cowboys & Aliens, with Jon Favreau directing Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford in the tale of a man with no memory (Craig), who stumbles into a wild west town, only to discovers that the people of Absolution don't welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford). However Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by alien marauders from the sky. Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation.
