Angelina Jolie really, really wants to be a major action star, as while other women may make an action flick or two, Angie's always keen to get in front of a camera and start kicking ass! Her next big action foray is this summer's Salt, in which she plays CIA Operative Evelyn Salt, who goes on the run after being accused of being a Russian sleeper agent. She must not only prove her innocence and protect her family, but also stop the authorities from erasing all trace of her existence. Phillip Noyce (Clear And Present Danger, The Quiet American) is a dab hand at these sorts of thrillers, although it has to be say that both the plot and this new trailer make it all look a little bit generic (the first trailer was slightly better). The film, which co-star Liev Schreiber and Chiwetel Ejiofor, is due in cinemas on August 20th, 2010. Click below to see the new second trailer for the film.
